Welcome!
In medicine, indium colloid is used for liver, spleen and bone marrow scanning. Indium DTPA was used for brain and kidney scanning. Indium Fe (OH) 3 granules were used for lung scanning. Indium Fe ascorbic acid was used for placenta scanning. In liver blood pool scanning, indium was used to deliver ferritin.
Indium is a silvery gray, very soft, fusible metal. The melting point is 156.61 ℃. The boiling point is 2060 ℃. The density is 7.30g/cm3. Liquid indium can soak glass and stick to the contacted surface, leaving black traces.
Indium has weak radioactivity. Natural indium has two main isotopes, In-113 is a stable nuclide, and In-115 is a stable nuclide β- Decay. Therefore, avoid direct contact as much as possible in use.
