Center Pivot and Lateral Move irrigation systems are composed of self-propelled structures equipped with sprinkler irrigation and control elements which make it possible to irrigate large surfaces (15-100ha) with low installation and maintainment costs.

 

The structures are composed by several pipe sections connected to a water intake, located approximately 4mabove the ground and suspended o­n towers, spaced between 30 to 60 m apart. The towers are supported on two wheels which are moved by an electric motor installed o­n the tower frame drive tube.

 

At Center Pivot integration Systems, water is supplied to the pipeline at a fixed point, with the structure rotating around the point.

At lateral Move Irrigation Systems, water is supplied to the pipeline along continuous or discontinuous in take point located o­n a longitudinal axis (usually located in the centre or at o­ne end of the plot) along which, the lateral move systems travels.

 

Combinating technologies of Irrigating Systems with Pivot and with Lateral Move, we obtain Irrigating systems with Hippodrome in which structure moves and changes place alternatively.
