Welcome!
The four jaw chuck uses four lead screws to drive the four claws respectively, so the common four jaw chuck does not have the function of automatic centering. However, various rectangular and irregular workpieces can be clamped by adjusting the position of the four claws.
The three-jaw chuck uses a volt wrench to rotate the bevel gear, which drives the planar rectangular thread, and then drives the three-jaw centripetal movement. Because the pitch of the planar rectangular thread is equal, the three-jaw movement distance is equal, which has the effect of automatic centering. The three-jaw chuck is composed of a large bevel gear, three small bevel gears, and three jaws. The three small bevel gears mesh with the large bevel gear. The back of the large bevel gear has a planar thread structure, and the three claws are equally installed on the planar thread. When the small bevel gear is turned with a wrench, the large bevel gear rotates, and the flat threads on its back cause the three jaws to simultaneously approach or exit the center.
