Welcome!
The higher the accuracy of the instrument, the more expensive it is, and the more difficult it is to maintain. Moreover, if other conditions are not properly matched, instruments with high accuracy levels may not be able to obtain accurate measurement results. Therefore, when selecting instruments with low accuracy and accuracy can meet the measurement requirements, it is not necessary to select instruments with high accuracy. Generally, Class 0.1 and Class 0.2 instruments are selected as standard meters; Level 0.5 and 1.0 instruments are used for laboratory measurements; Instruments below level 1.5 are generally selected for engineering measurement.
AC ammeters can use electromagnetic or electric measuring mechanisms. To enable magnetoelectric measurement mechanisms to also measure AC current, devices such as rectifiers or thermocouples can be used to convert AC to DC first; The electricity meters formed by their combination are respectively called rectifier ammeters (see rectifier ammeters) and thermoelectric ammeters. To expand the range to measure large currents, rectifier ammeters also use a shunt; The practice for electric ammeters is the same as before; The electromagnetic ammeter is designed to thicken the coil lead and reduce the number of turns. For larger measured current values, it is necessary to cooperate with current transformers. An AC digital ammeter can usually be constructed using a shunt and an AC digital voltmeter.
