In order to further improve the wear resistance and smoothness of the inner wall and reduce the drawing resistance, some even add a coating on the surface of the copper wall. Usually chromium plating or nickel plating, tungsten plating, iron plating, and three-layer nickel plating, nickel phosphorus alloy plating, and chromium plating.

There are two types of crystallizers according to the linear division of the inner wall of the section in the direction of casting: curved and straight; According to its overall structure, there are both sleeve and combination types for both curved and straight shapes.

The cooling water jacket composed of inner wall copper pipes, inner and outer water jackets, and foot rollers are its main components. The outer surface of straight or curved copper pipes consists of cooling water jackets, flanges, and sealing elements, forming a water supply and oil supply system. In order to ensure a regular appearance of the billet, 2-3 sets of foot rollers are installed at the bottom of the mold to improve the casting speed and prevent the billet from falling off square.
