Welcome!
Although diesel generator sets have lower power, they are widely used in mining, railways, field construction sites, road traffic maintenance, as well as factories, enterprises, hospitals and other departments due to their small size, flexibility, lightness, complete supporting facilities, and ease of operation and maintenance. Diesel generator sets are used in places where there is no connection to the grid, or as emergency power sources in the event of grid failures, as well as for more complex applications such as peak tripping, grid support, and grid output.
Diesel generator is a small power generation equipment that refers to a power machinery that uses diesel as fuel and diesel engine as the prime mover to drive the generator to generate electricity. The entire unit is generally composed of diesel engine, generator, control box, fuel tank, starting and control battery, protection device, emergency cabinet and other components. It can be used for daily power generation and emergency power generation in various households, offices, large, medium and small enterprises.
In the cylinder of the diesel engine, the clean air filtered by the air filter is fully mixed with the high-pressure atomized diesel injected by the fuel injector. Under the upward compression of the piston, the volume shrinks and the temperature rapidly increases, reaching the ignition point of the diesel. After diesel is ignited, the mixed gas burns violently, expands rapidly, and pushes the piston down. This process is called "doing work". The mechanical energy generated by doing work is transmitted to the generator through the crankshaft. The generator uses the principle of "electromagnetic induction" to output induced electromotive force, which can generate current through a closed load circuit.
Inside the diesel engine, diesel is injected into the combustion chamber by high-pressure injectors, mixed with high-temperature and high-pressure air, and rapidly combusts, producing high-temperature and high-pressure gas that drives the piston to move and then drives the crankshaft to rotate. The crankshaft is connected to the generator through a transmission device, which drives the generator to rotate and generate alternating current.
In today's increasingly growing electricity demand, diesel generators, as an efficient and reliable power generation equipment, are widely used in various fields. It can not only provide emergency backup power in case of insufficient or interrupted power supply, but also serve as the main power source to power various places. Below, we will provide a detailed introduction to the characteristics, working principle, application areas, and usage precautions of diesel generators.
