It uses special steelmaking technology and strict quality control to obtain high-purity and microstructural steel, which is more valuable for the mechanical fatigue resistance and thermal stress fatigue performance of molds.

8407 Mold Steel Characteristics:

8407 Mold Steel Usage:

8407 is mainly used for various metal die-casting molds, extrusion molds, PA, POM, PS, PE, EP high-quality plastic molds. For example: engine molds, car lamp molds, etc.

Examples include die-casting molds, forging molds, and extrusion molds. Therefore, using a mold with 8407 can increase the hardness by 1-2 HRC compared to ordinary H13 without sacrificing toughness. High hardness can slow down the occurrence of thermal cracking and improve the lifespan of the mold.
