The manufacturing methods of artificial fur include knitting (weft knitting, warp knitting and sewing knitting) and weaving, among which the weft knitting method has the fastest development and the widest application. When knitting, the carding mechanism disperses the wool into single fibers, and the knitting needle grabs the fibers and then puts them into the bottom yarn to weave into a loop. As the fluff is in a "V" shape in the loop, it has a knitted bottom cloth to set the shape, so that the wool will not fall off.

The chemical fiber artificial fur has the disadvantages of uneven back, no pattern and no wind protection. The above disadvantages can be overcome by adopting the release transfer process and modifying the artificial fur with polyurethane.
