Scorch Retarder PVI(CTP) - 80 , Beige Granule , Used In Natural And Synthesis Rubber.
Recommendations and Applications:
Scorch retarder CTP prevent rubber from early vulcanization in manufacturing process ,
improve processing safety , with almost no influence on curing rate and physical properties
of vulcanizates.
CTP significantly improve high temperature and high speed processability of the rubber
in the calender and extruder , increase production capacity of vulcanizing machine ,
improve storage stability of the compound, avoid self-vulcanization during the storage.
Scorch retarder CTP can be used along with accelerator NS , M , DM , CBS and effective or
half effective vulcanization system , improve compounds’ performance, without foaming ,
contamination and other adverse side effect.
Mainly used in natural rubber , synthesis rubber, especially used along with sulfonamide
to form a good vulcanization system.
Composition:
Pre-dispersed 80% N-Cyclohexy(thio)phthalimide (PVI) in a 20% elastomeric/surfactant binder.
Elastomeric binder can be SBR or EPDM, or others according to customer’s requirements.

PVI(CTP) is white crystal solid, with density of 1.25~1.35g/cm3.
Soluble in acetone, benzene, toluene, ethyl ether, ethyl acetate and carbon tetrachloride, hot alcohol. Slightly soluble in
gasoline. Insoluble in water and kerosene.
Dosage:
Advise the same amount as PVI powder in rubber compound, generally 0.1~0.5 PHR,
increase or decrease the amount accordingly.
