principle of operation

Electromagnetic induction principle: the internal circuit of high-frequency welding machine generates high-frequency current, and the high-frequency alternating magnetic field is generated through the induction coil. When the induction coil is close to the copper tube to be welded, compressor copper tube or capillary tube, strong eddy current will be generated in these metal tubes due to electromagnetic induction. Because the metal has resistance, the electric energy is converted into heat energy when the eddy current flows in the metal tube, so that the welding part is quickly heated to a molten state, and then welding materials are added to fill the weld, and the welding is completed after cooling and solidification.

Skin effect and proximity effect: The eddy current generated by high-frequency current mainly concentrates on the conductor surface, which leads to the rapid temperature rise of the surface. This is the skin effect, which makes high-frequency welding suitable for surface heating and local heating. When two or more conductors are close to each other and connected with high-frequency current in opposite directions, the magnetic field interaction between them will generate extra heat, that is, proximity effect, which can further improve the heating efficiency.
