The Vertical Combustion Tester tests the combustion properties of materials according to the following standards:

UL94 Standard: Developed by Underwriters Laboratories, UL94 is used to evaluate the flame retardancy of plastic materials. The standard is a series of standardized test methods to evaluate the combustion performance of materials, and different levels of materials need to pass different test procedures.UL94 defines a total of 12 levels of flame retardancy, in accordance with the combustion characteristics of the material in order from low to high, including HB (horizontal combustion), V (Vertical Combustion) and other grades, for different flame retardant requirements of the plastic materials.

GB/T2408 Standard: Chinese national standard for the combustion performance test of plastics, including horizontal and vertical test methods, evaluating the flame retardancy of materials by measuring the burning speed, burning time, charring length and other indicators.

GB/T5455 standard: It is used to categorize the burning performance of building materials and products into different grades to ensure the flame retardancy of building structures. The standard also contains the test method of vertical combustion method for evaluating the flame retardant performance of building materials.

Standard GB/T8332: specifies the test methods for determining the burning performance of rubber or plastic coated fabrics, including vertical burning method, horizontal burning method and 45° inclined burning method.

Standard GB8624: It stipulates the grading of combustion performance of building materials, and divides the materials into four levels: non-combustible materials, flame retardant materials, combustible materials and flammable materials.

Standard GB8410: It stipulates the combustion characteristics of automobile interior materials, and requires that when the materials are burned under the specified conditions, their flame spreading speed, burning time and charring length and other indexes should meet certain requirements.
