Conveyor Description

I. Basic Definition

A conveyor is a general mechanical equipment that achieves efficient transportation of materials (bulk materials, finished items) from one location to another through continuously moving conveying components (such as conveyor belts, chains, spiral blades, etc.). It is widely used in industrial and agricultural production, logistics and warehousing, and other fields.

II. Core Applications

- Bulk material conveying: Long/short-distance transportation of bulk materials such as grains, ores, coal, and building materials;

- Package conveying: Assembly line transportation of regular items such as cartons, parcels, and parts;

- Special scenarios: Customized material transportation in high-temperature, humid, dusty, and other environments (e.g., food-grade, explosion-proof types).

III. Main Structure

It includes a power unit (motor, reducer), conveying components (conveyor belt/chain/spiral), support device (idler roller, frame), tensioning device, guiding device, and safety protection components (emergency stop button, dust cover).

IV. Working Principle

Taking the commonly used belt conveyor as an example: The motor outputs power through the reducer to drive the rotation of the drive roller, which uses frictional force between the roller and the conveyor belt to drive the belt for stable operation. Materials fall onto the conveyor belt from the feeding end and move synchronously with the belt. Supported by idler rollers to maintain stability, the materials complete unloading under the action of gravity/inertia when reaching the discharge end, realizing continuous conveying.
