Due to advantages such as flexible configuration, convenient transportation, easy relocation, simple installation, short construction period, low operating costs, small footprint, pollution-freeration, and maintenance-free characteristics, box-type transformers have received widespread attention. On-site construction (or renovation) is widely applied in the construction and transformation of urban an rural 10~110kV small and medium-sized substations (distribution stations), as well as substations for industrial and mining enterprises and mobile operations, due to benefits such as easy acload centers, reduced power supply radius, and improved terminal voltage quality; it is particularly suitable for rural power grid renovation and is hailed as the target model for substation construcion in the 21st century.

The box-type transformer features a "product" type structure where the substation is closely integrated with high and low voltage equipment. The substation is exd to the air on three sides, providing excellent heat dissipation conditions, and the enclosure can be separated from the high and low voltage equipment for convenient maintenance. The substation employs a shype oil tank, oil-free conservator, fully enclosed S11 series oil-immersed transformer, high and low voltage bushings, tap changer, oil level indicator, pressure reliee, and drain valve, all of which are installed on the end plate of the high voltage compartment body with a reasonable layout for easy observation and operation. Steel plates are used to separate the compartment from the low voltage compartment. The high voltage compartment, low voltage compartment, and transformer are relatively independent while maintaining a complete box structure. The structure is compact, with a l volume and light weight. Distribution switchgear is installed on both the high voltage side and the low voltage side.

Operating Conditions of Box-type Transformer

● Ambient temperature not higher than 40℃ and not lower than -45℃;

●Altitude: ≤1000m;

● Average monthly temperature not exceeding: 30℃;

● Average annual temperature not exceeding: 20℃; when the tempeature is 25℃, the relative humidity of the air shall not exceed 95%, and the average monthly humidity shall not exceed 90%;

● Horizontal acceleration not greter than 0.3g, vertical acceleration not greater than 0.5g.

● Installation environment free from obvious pollution, explosive, corrosive gases, and dust;

● Installation site shbe free from severe vibration and impact, and installed on a concrete platform or other smooth, solid platform.
