Welcome!
Surfing is a water sport in which athletes stand on surfboards, or use webs, kneeling boards, inflatable rubber mats, rowboats, kayaks, etc. to control the waves.
Surfing originated in Hawaii. On December 7, 2020, the International Olympic Committee agreed to list surfing as an official event of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
The current surfboard is 1.5-2.7 meters long, about 60 centimeters wide and 7-10 centimeters thick. It is light and flat, and its front and rear ends are slightly narrow. There is a tail fin at the bottom of the back that acts as a stabilizer. In order to increase friction, a waxy outer film is also coated on the board surface. The weight of all surfboards is only 11-26 kg.
