PEG-4000 is commonly used as a food processing aid and can be used as a lubricant, thickener, stabilizer, and anti-crystallization agent.

It can improve the viscosity, smoothness, and structural stability of food, reduce crystallization problems in candies and baked goods, and enhance the taste and appearance of products.
